OPC-UA Adapter
- Standardized Interface: Enables data exchange via the open OPC-UA protocol for seamless integration into heterogeneous production environments
- The generic OPC UA adapter is an OPC-UA server.
- Typical data transfers between STIWA ZPoint and customer systems are possible with this service.
- Extended Connectivity: New OPC-UA adapter functionality for improved interoperability with third-party systems
Features
- Create new jobs for machines
- Define recipe data parameters for machines
- Production and quality data with measured values (batch data) and other module-specific flags
- Order counter
- Data on:
- Downtimes, operating conditions, current shift data and counters
- Alarms, module cycle times
- Available from version 1.27
The Problem
- Accessing aggregated data can be a challenge for external development organisations. It is both time-consuming and costly.
- Customized solutions often require complex implementation paths and, if not appropriately implemented, risk system failure and data loss.
- This can significantly impact the intended decision support or information delivery.
- It is therefore vital that these implementations are carried out with care and in accordance with existing standards to ensure data integrity and availability.
Service Specifications
- Communication is via OPC-UA. The adapter consists of an OPC-UA server that enables customer-side communication via OPC-UA clients.
- SCADA information is used to create the address space data structure, which is configured via FIT and the properties of the adapter.
- The configurable properties allow the functionality of the adapter to be customised (enabling and disabling parts of the address space). The adapter changes the address space accordingly when the FIT configuration changes.
- Data transmission for specific areas of the address space can be protected against data loss using handshakes. (e.g., measurement data)
Rebranding: AMS ZPoint-CI Operations → STIWA Shopfloor Control
- New Brand Identity: To better align with marketing strategy, the application has been renamed to "STIWA Shopfloor Control"
- Complete Feature Set: Contains all functions from previous versions, plus customer feedback
- Complete Replacement: For new machines, using the AMS ZPoint-CI Client is no longer necessary
AMS Analysis-CI Improvements
- Event-based Report Distribution:
- "Order Change" Trigger: Reports are automatically sent after completion of an order
- "Shift Change" Trigger: Reports are automatically sent after the end of a shift
- Improved Trendviewer Usability:
- Tooltip displays measurement series name (helpful when multiple series are displayed)
- Dashboard Improvements:
- Filter grouping for easier operation
- Dashboard filters can also be used as input without explicit configuration
AMS ZPoint-CI Extensions
- Flexible Quality Data:
- Flexible end-of-line testing procedure for multiple types
- Storage of flexible quality data without PLC program changes
- Production During Central System Maintenance:
- Production remains possible even when the central database is unreachable
- Can be activated for individual machines or the entire plant via STIWA Shopfloor Control
- Cache function stores data locally and synchronizes it once the connection is restored
- Additional Improvements:
- Updated DeltaLogic (AGLink) driver for more robust use of symbolic data blocks
- LiveAnalysis with STIWA CI-Interface also when using CI3.1 instead of CI2.0
- Access to packed parts from other machines with internal M2M
AMS FIT-CI Optimizations
- Performance and Usability Improvements:
- Migration to 64-bit for sufficient memory reserves
- Drastically reduced copy time for systems with large PLC coupling areas
- Check for required ServicePacks in the target database
- Extensions for wildcards with new configuration checks
- Check-in comments for faster troubleshooting
